Welcome to Rudo Psych Health
Counselling Psychologist
As a counselling psychologist, my role is to create a safe, non-judgmental space where you can explore your thoughts, emotions, and experiences. Together, we work to better understand the patterns that may be holding you back and develop practical strategies for positive change. Through tailored therapeutic interventions, I support you in managing stress, strengthening your relationships, building emotional resilience, and enhancing your overall quality of life.
Whether you are seeking guidance through a difficult time or looking to deepen your self-awareness and personal growth, psychotherapy offers a meaningful path toward healing and empowerment.
About Me
My name is Rudo, and I am a Counselling Psychologist registered with the HPCSA and BHF. I completed my MPsych at Pearson Institute of Higher Education and did my internship at Epworth Therapy and Assessment Centre. In addition to the services provided to Epworth, I offered Therapy to Students at Germiston High School, and Gail Jupp Foundation for Home Start. I also provided therapy to child rape victims at Teddy Bear Clinic. I further gained experience conducting Scholastic Assessments to schools in Gauteng including the Oprah Winfrey Leadership Academy for Girls (OWLAG) and Reddam House Bedfordview.
I currently have a practice in Boksburg and also work for the public sector (Department of Correctional Services). I work with children from the age of 7, adolescents and adults providing individual psychotherapy/counselling and cognitive (school) assessments. I also conduct career assessments for students in grades 9-12 and adults who seek to make a change in their career.
My Services
I offer individual psychotherapy and comprehensive cognitive assessments for children (aged 7 and up), adolescents, and adults. My services are tailored to meet the unique developmental and emotional needs of each age group. Through individual therapy, I provide a supportive and confidential space where clients can explore personal challenges, build coping strategies, and work toward emotional well-being.
In addition, I conduct thorough cognitive assessments to gain insight into a client’s cognitive strengths and areas of difficulty. These assessments can assist in understanding learning styles, diagnosing conditions such as ADHD or learning disorders, and informing educational or therapeutic interventions.
Whether you are seeking support for yourself or your child, my goal is to provide compassionate, evidence-based care that fosters growth and resilience.
I work with a wide range of difficulties including, but not limited to
- Stress
- Anxiety
- PTSD
- Depression
- Self-harm
- Suicidal ideation
- Grief
- Bereavement
- Self-esteem issues
- Eating disorders
